Watch: President Bill Clinton Talks Blockchain at Ripple Conference

Day one of Ripple’s second annual Swell Conference wrapped up today. The conference, featuring high profile keynote speakers, scored a fireside chat with former President Bill Clinton. Speaking with his former National Economic Council Director, Gene Sperling, Clinton touched on a number of topics.  He discussed his thoughts on Blockchain in general, saying that he sees “staggering” possibilities in the technology because of its global nature.

“This whole blockchain deal has the potential it does only because it is applicable across national borders [and] income groups. The permutations and possibilities are staggeringly great,” he said. “We could ruin it all by negative identity politics and economic and social policy. You think about that.”
